Larissa Hotel has great staff(the little people who do everyday things, not higher-management), everyone is helpfull and trying to make the best of your stay, running like bees and working hard, meanwhile the main restaurant manager was sitting at the table drining home-brought alchohol and talking behind peoples backs. Big pluss for the hotel is the green garden that helps in hot days, and it is really close to the sea. The terithory was small with many 3-floor houses. The rooms are quite cousy/tiny and the toilet is right next to the bed- giving a feeling that you are sleeping in the bathroom. The most annoying and unsatisfying thing was the old sheets that had not only holes but sometimes even stains on them. Most of the towels were worn-out and not matching. The hotel gives out a feeling that when it was built- it was awesome, but now 10 years later, noone cares to freshen it up. The animation team was trying hard to entertain us, the day activities such as waterpolo, water-aerobics, volleyball were great and fun, nevertheless the main evening activities were quite simple that sometimes cross the line with poor-taste. The main guests in this hotel were families with kids, and as the walls are thin- you get to wake up in the middle of the night from screeming babies. It would be good to state what kind of customer base it is meant for. Noone from the staff speaks English and at the time there were 50% Turkish people and 50% Russians. The food was delicious, mostly turkish kitchen, only - from the look of the food was hard to seperate ether there is meat/fish or whatever is inside the food. It would be great to know what you are eating. Internet is only at the reception. No maps/guids or any kind of information about the city itself couldnt be found. If there would be no sun - there would be absoloutley nothing to do. One more note- the music was just too much, almost all the time - russian and turkish songs on the maximum volume, that gets repetitive and tedious. Overall, we had a great time, really enjoyable vacation for affordable price. p.s. The cates were drinking from the pool with chlorede, that gives the improssion of how little the people actually care about the living creatures, as it is not that hard to put-out a bowl with water.. Hotels biggest mistake is that none cares about the small details, that gives the most valuable impression of it.
Delicious food. Fresh botanic garden. Good price. Great location. Fun animation team (especially Ira and Doggy). Helpfull staff (especially Bairam and Natasha). Hard working cleaning people who left flower-petals and towels made out of swans.
Bad music taste. None speaks english. Old sheets. Small rooms. Rude restaurant manager (Keman). No idea what is inside the food. No helpfull information about the city. Wi-fi only at reception. Public only russians and turkish people with small children.
